In the heart of our urban jungle lies a forest grown not from grey, dull, and gritty concrete, but from vividly illustrated, lovingly coloured picture books. An unusual sight, you might think. In fact, this is no virgin forest – it’s the second.

YOLO brought “Make Your Mark” to the London Design Festival (23-26 September 2010). As part of the DesignersBlock London 2010 event at the Bargehouse on London’s historic South Bank, we filled a long, light-filled room with reams of white paper spread out in “waves” on the floor.

MessyMsxi's first solo exhibition, "Ten Years of Work for Every Minute on Stage" is a moving portrait of pain, suffering, perseverance and process - told through the eyes of young acrobats who embody a beginner's fighting spirit in the face of failure.

You'll find yourself wishing you could reach into the canvas to prevent an acrobat's fall, or nursing your own palms with empathy as you gaze at the bruises that mark theirs.

"Ten Years of Work for Every Minute on Stage" is on daily from 12noon-8.30pm until 15 April, at Old School, The Art Studio, 11B Mount Sophia.

8,000 utensils and 300 hours, woven with imagination to make a stand for the environment.
